Why should I consider a Catholic Education for my child?
Students are able to practice their Catholic faith every day.
Our faith based environment allows children to be gently guided
in our structured environment from their earliest school
experience through their adolescent years. They are allowed and
encouraged to experience the best part of themselves.
What
about the educational program? Does a Catholic parish school
have the best teachers and facilities for my child?
All of the teachers at St. Anthony~St. Joseph are certified by
the State of Pennsylvania. Our faculty also includes Art,
Music, Physical Education and Remedial Reading Teachers. As a
result of our small class size, our teachers are able to create
class lesson plans that respond to individual student abilities.
Our school is located in the St. Anthony Parish
Education Center, a brand new facility located in the heart of
residential Ambler. Our building features a state of the art computer and science labs, art room, library, cafeteria and multipurpose room. All classrooms are equipped with computers and internet access.
What
types of extra curricular activities and sports are available
for my child?
St. Anthony~St. Joseph seeks to educate the whole child, nurturing their intellectual, spiritual and social well being. Besides regular art, physical education and music classes, children may participate in an Instrumental Band Program, Choir, Drama, and Robotics. Many children participate in Ambler CYO programs as well. CYO offers sports as well as frequent dances and service projects.
What about parental involvement?
Parents are vital to the success of their children’s education. Parents are welcomed and involved at every level. Qualified parent employees administer some school programs such as After Care, library and aides to teachers in the classroom. Parent volunteers participate in school governance through the Home and School Association, serve as lunch and playground monitors and assist teachers with special projects. Our teachers are always available to parents, in person, by phone and email, and work as a team to secure what is best for our children.
Are the children adequately prepared for high school? Where are
your graduates now?
St. Anthony~St. Joseph Students are prepared for and attend the area’s most competitive high schools: 31% are enrolled in private academies, 51% attend Archdiocesan high schools and 18% attend public high school.
